Ahead With Education (A.W.E.) Scholarship Program

The purpose of Ahead With Education (AWE) Association is to provide scholarships to students of highly economically challenged families in the area of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to enable them to secure an education that equips them to be productive members of their communities. Economically challenged families must choose between continuing a child’s education versus other priorities, such as health care, transportation, and food. Public education in Mexico includes student expenses not paid by the government. AWE scholarships provide promising students, the opportunity to continue their education, when they would not otherwise be able to do so.

Recipients of the scholarships must maintain outstanding grades in their school, based on official grade reports, to receive the scholarship funds that will enable them to proceed to their next semester or year of education.
