Build Faith at Summer Camp

By Pastor Tom Anderson

Want to build faith in your kids and grandkids? Are you looking for a Christian camp your whole family could attend with something for everyone including games and crafts for children, youth hang-outs and great preaching and worship for the whole family? Simpson Park Camp may be what you are looking for!

Simpson Park Camp has been operating since 1865. It’s named after Methodist Bishop Matthew Simpson, a personal friend of Abraham Lincoln. The camp is located in Romeo, Michigan about a 1 hour drive from Highland. Here are there offerings for this coming summer:

Summer Games Camp June 22-27

For our Summer Games Program, it is our prayer that every child, teen and adult will feel so completely loved, safe and secure that they will freely connect with God and discover the amazing joy that comes only from knowing the love of our Father. We pray they are empowered to live as full, new creations in Christ and leave their old ways behind.

Annual Camp Meeting July 19-28 You can rent a cabin, bring an RV or stay in a dormitory unit. You can bring your own food or sign up for meals in the dining hall. Stay for as many days as you wish. Children's programs, Youth activities and chapel services every day led by special guest preachers.

Over 100 children participate in our annual Children’s Program which runs simultaneously alongside Family Camp. Services and activities are offered during morning and evening worship as well as special activities each weekday afternoon for the family, such as a Talent Show and fishing at the pond. The Children’s Ministry is a donation-supported ministry for children, from birth through 6th grade, who are on the campground for Family Camp with their family and friends.
